Durga's List app for iPhone and iPad

We want to create a tool to connect employers and workers seamlessly experience. Durgas List is a location based job board available as a mobile application. Its core functionality allows users in need of help to post jobs in the form of classified ad. Workers can browse through these listings and apply for the jobs through the app. Any individual user can perform the role of employer or worker as they see fit. We expect further communication to take place outside the app and are interested in the simplicity of its humble feature set, and its potential as the community expands. Job listings contain a title, description, compensation, location, estimated duration, time/date.
Available job listings can be toggled between a list and map view. The list-view has a filter to help narrow down a job search by tags, compensation, distance, or reputation. When in the map view, users can see all jobs as pins within a chosen search radius.
An in-app messaging system allows employers and workers to easily coordinate without leaving the application, but users also have the option to list a phone number and/or an email on the users profile.
Profile rating/reputation and verification is utilized for user safety and to promote quality of labor and interactions.
Monetary transactions are to occur in person, outside of the app, to avoid payment card industry (PCI) complications and liabilities. Both participants in a transaction are encouraged to honor the deal with each user’s profile reputation on the line.
